- How do I qualify? Where can I apply for an apartment?
In order to live at American Heartland Homes, you need to qualify. This community is an affordable, tax credit property. In order to qualify, you need to complete an application. You will find one here. Once you complete the application, submit it to us and we will add your name to our waiting list.
- What are the rental amounts and security deposit?
1 Bedroom unit: $625/month Security Deposit of $400
2 Bedroom unit: $780 – $800*/month Security Deposit of $600
3 Bedroom unit: $899 – $903*/month Security Deposit of $800
4 Bedroom unit: $994 – $1000*/month Security Deposit of $1000- Is there an application fee?
Yes, there is a $35 non-refundable application fee for each adult family member (18+), payable by money order ONLY. No cash or checks accepted. This must be returned with the completed application.
- What utilities am I responsible for?
Tenants are responsible for paying all utilities, however, all appliances are energy efficient. All apartments are furnished with quality Energy Star appliances, which makes it more affordable for you.
- Is a washer and dryer supplied with the Apartment?
All apartments come equipped with washer and dryer hookups. Supplying a washer and dryer is the responsibility of the tenant.
- Are the homes ADA Compliant?
All of the apartments will be accessible, with sixteen (16) apartments that meet current ADA standards to accomodate households having persons with disabilities.
- Where can I find specific information for your apartments?

- How do I arrange to tour a model apartment?
We prefer that you make an appointment to tour our model apartment, upon availability. For Sales Center driving directions, hours, and contact information, visit our Contact page.
- Do you allow pets?
Yes, American Heartland Homes does allow pets in the community. (See AHH – Pet Policy for restrictions) An additional pet deposit is required.
- How about HCV (S8) Vouchers; do you accept them?
HCV is accepted in American Heartland Homes.
